Because I overlooked the -U (or -u -g) option of tcpserver. Question
remains why publicfile is running as user qftp while tcpserver has no
-U, -u or -g option and why publicfile can write its output to
stderr/stdout.

So: Is there a way to let program x which is invoked by tcpserver and
which runs as user u, write to the logpipe svscan creates? There must be
a way to do this, publicfile does.
