I'm sure the chrome coders (unlike microsoft & others) would take
something written by djb very seriously; I just don't know how to reach
them! I've already mentioned "ftp://ftp.cr.yp.to/index.html" in the
"report an issue" feature of chrome;

note: I'm 99% sure that chrome used to work with publicfile/ftpd; so it
means that the chrome team had "some" reason to change to the current
behavior;
