Good evening group

I just want to say thanks for all of the fast and courteous help I have
gotten from this group.

Yesterday I was able to figure out what my problem was. basically, I
was using Logwatch to send me a summary of my log files at 0400 JST.
and because Multilog uses tai64n to convert the timestamps, I found a
post in a forum that had a package to use with the way qmail is setup
according to LWQ (Life With Qmail). What I overlooked was that I was
suppose to use temp files after the timestamps were converted back to
local time. I was concatinating the contents after the convert back
into the log files. and I am assuming that it did it a few times (a
loop maybe) which would explain the ballooning of my log files. What I
can't understand is why Multilog wouldn't rotate the files out after
10MB. Maybe because the logfiles were not in any order, very out of
order as far as time was concerned.

I will keep monitoring it over the weekend. If there is any other
problems or if the problem is solved then I will wriet again on Monday.

Again Thank you very much.

Regards,
Robert Fisher
