While I'm not using windows (and cygwin) regularly, Synopsis should indeed
work there. (There are a couple of people who signaled interest into it,
and I did make some successful attempts to build Synopsis on windows, both,
using cygwin as well as mingw.)

That's very strange. Synopsis/Parser.cc is in your source tree, right ?
I'm not sure what to suggest. What make version are you using ? Can
anybody else reproduce this ? Also, can you try with a working copy
of the Synopsis_0_8 branch ?
Thanks,
