Oh, hum. In fact, as I mention in the comment, I don't understand why
I'm seeing the \r there at all. Isn't the iostream harness supposed to
shield me from these details ? I expected only to see anything other
than '\n' for end-of-line if using ios::binary.
Any help would be much appreciated.
