No, this is not possible. As stated in the introduction of swixml, 
swixml is only a tool allowing to write your layout (and style) related 
components in XML. What you want to do is *scripting* which swixml does 
not want to  support. Actions are an exception because they are quite 
common and powerful. Unfortunatly, for lists exists nothing like this.

Wolf, should we have a FAQ sooner or later for this?

This is not a GUI (layout) specific thing.

Swixml comes with its complete source. The source is not that voluminous 
so you should cope with it.
