Hey Wolf, As a result of suddenly becoming unemployed (at least I don't have to deal with my ass hole boss any more) I'm doing a couple things. 1) lots more coding going to try and bring Caterpillar and ListfulThinking up to a level where people would actually consider paying a shareware fee. 2) writing. I finished working on some research and a chapter for an upcoming java book and that went pretty well. So, Next up is a book on Swixml, because a) I know about it b) there isn't one already c) I should be able to get it out relatively quickly (i finished the basic outline yesterday) and d) I think I can convince someone to publish it... if not I'll publish it myself, which I'm not too adverse to. I mention these because if I could get a copy of Franklin, even if it's in an incomplete but somewhat working I could start figuring out how to integrate it into the book, and it would just help me personally with #1 ;) Am I right in assuming that you're going to release Franklin the same way you did Theodore? Free web start version or pay to get a locally installable one? If you don't mind me asking how has that done for you? Have many people actually purchased it, and if so would you say it's been mostly individuals or companies purchasing it? -Kate (masukomi) http://www.masukomi.org http://weblog.masukomi.org On Mar 28, 2004, at 2:50 PM, Wolf Paulus wrote: > Franklin - Visual XUL Editor for Swixml. > > The Franklin EAP (Early Access Program) will start in April and I'm > looking for about 10 Swixml users who would like to participate in an > Early Access Program and help beta testing the new editor. > Franklin's approach to visual XUL editing is similar to the one chosen > in Theodore and therefore, users who have experience with the Theodore > AP Edition are preferred. > If you are interested, please let me know your XUL,Thinlet, or Swixml > experience and briefly describe the project you would use > Swixml/Franklin during the EAP. > > THANKS > > Wolf Paulus > > C a r l s b a d C u b e s > mailto:[email protected] > > CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: > This message is intended only for the use of the individual or entity > to which it is addressed, and may contain information that is > privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure under applicable > law. > If you are not the intended recipient, please contact the sender by > reply email and destroy all copies of the original message. > > > _______________________________________________ > Forum mailing list > [email protected] > http://carlsbadcubes.com/mailman/listinfo/forum_carlsbadcubes.com > >
