Dialog event

Hi!

I want to create a dialog with the event handler is the creator component.
example:
            SwingEngine engine = new SwingEngine(this);
            engine.setActionListener(loginPanel,this);
            engine.render(theme_path + "login.xml").setVisible(true);

If I do anything the object actionPerformed is not called. (If I set the 
action listener after render it's run when the dialog is closed)

ohh and the dialog is modal.

anybody can help me?
