Dear all, I'd appreciate some advice on how to configure the bochsrc clock setting. This is what I want to do. I want to run a series of experiments using a workload running under different conditions. I've set up a bochs machine in which this workload can run. I've installed linux in this `guest' machine. If I were running the experiments on real, physical, hardware, my metric would be wall-clock time as reported by /usr/bin/time. What are the bochs clock settings that will most closely match this? I am not really concerned by the actual time taken to run the experiments, that is, I don't care if a second inside the bochs machine takes 3 seconds to elapse on the `host'. What I do want is a metric that allows me to compare different runs using the times reported inside the machine. (As I understand it, clock set to none will have time inside the machine run at a rate that depends on the number of instructions executed, which I don't think does quite what I want.)
