Hi, I found this in the Bochs-developers mailing list SMAP folder. You need to be subscribed to the mailing list in order to post there. For 486 configuration currently there is no option to enable it on runtime. As you read in the internet, you need to re-compile Bochs by yourself with --enable-cpu-level=4 and then simply set the CPU to bx_generic. If you compiled Bochs with --enable-cpu-level=4 correctly, you should not have any other option except bx_generic available. On bochs description I found that it can emulate 386 and later, but on CPU configuration I can choose only of 686 CPUs and bx_generic. I am running both linux and windows. I had searched by google how I can solve this problem and I found that I need to recompile bochs enabling 486 support (--enable-cpu-level=4 or if I want more: --enable-cpu-level={3,4,5,6}). I tried both options but I still can choose only of 686 CPUs. I also tried old versions - the same problem (very old versions I can't recompile because if I want I need to downgrade compiler). P.S.
