Whatever they are, they effectively put Amdahl out of the business.  
The fees Amdahl was asked to pay for zArchitecture TIDA were a major 
factor (albeit not the only one) for their exit from a $3 billion 
business with the loss of around 7,000 jobs.  At one point they paid 
$10 million for six sides of paper - the contents of which they 
already knew.

I find this extremely hard to reconcile with the repeated assertion 
that Hercules is based entirely on information in the public domain.
