This is a good summation. It's not as if IBM is ignorant of Hercules, after
all, nor of my role in it; my contact details are easily found. (They're on
my home page, and kept current there. I believe that personal information is
easily enough found on the Internet that attempting to hide it is an
exercise in futility.) If IBM is not concerned, then I see no reason why I
should be.

Not specifically about that; more along the lines of having Hercules
certified as a PCM.

The situation is different, in that AMD and Intel each have technology the
other would like to use. Further, both AMD and Intel make money off their
product. A closer example would be if Intel and the authors of the Bochs
emulator have any sort of licensing going on.
