That's what I was wondering about. Is it possible to add z/OS like 
functionality to 3.8j without getting jammed ? For example, you could 
always create a low memory mapping macro that isn't called IHAPSA. If 
the layout itself is protected though, meaning you can't have a 
series of fullwords in that particular order, that mean the same 
thing to a running program, no matter the actual field names, then 
you're fried. You couldn't create a RACF clone for 3.8j if as soon as 
you create a lookalike parameter list you're in violation.
