I guess a lot depends on who you speak to. As its "beyond their 
control" then I don't think they will have a "corperate policy" on 
it. I bet that some of the technical staff are happy about it and 
would like more folks to join up. Others in the "Corperate Image 
Department" and who have enough brain left to form a personal 
opinion, would probably like to "send the boys round" to explain to 
us why its a bad idea:-)

Any way where I am working at present they are itching to consign the 
mainframe to the crusher. I doubt if IBM care as the only reveune it 
generates for them is from a few copies of PC Comms every month.

I was going to say "Alas No Longer" but it appears I am wrong. You 
can download Solaris "free" for non-commercial use.

Including the X86 version. Now if only IBM would do the same for zVM. 
Of course if we all had it free at home they would also find it hard 
to justify the huge mark up they have on Mainframe services :-(
