The initial version of CTCI-WIN that was uploaded to SoftDevLabs for releas=
e
-- version 3.3.3.3226 -- on July 3, 2014 was an older incorrect version wit=
h
a bug that causes an "Invalid argument" error during device initialization:
HHC00138E Error setting TUN/TAP mode : Invalid argument
HHC01463E 0:0E21 device initialization failed
The problem was detected relatively quickly and the CORRECT release --
version 3.3.3.3285 -- was uploaded on July 6, 2014.
If the version of CTCI-WIN that you purchased, or the trial copy you
downloaded, does not report itself as version 3.3.3.3285 or greater, then
you have the wrong (bad) version and need to download the corrected newer
version instead:
