No, but I created an un-compassed copy first. The P390 is an odd beast. 
There is a board with the 390 CPU and MEMORY that sits in a server. Mine is Microchannel but PCI versions exist. 
They can go in a RS/6000 or selected (they are a bit picky) "PC" server.
There are OS/2 (and AIX) programs that provide the interface between the PC side and the P390.
So the 3270 support works in a similar way to Hercules. You configure a port and connect to it via TN3270
There are also programs that interface DASD and AWS tape files to the P390.

I can just used DASDCOPY to create an un-compressed version.
I have dumped the 3390 disk to tape, but can't get upstairs to the P390 to try a restore....
