I would be VERY interested to learn what values are actually returned on your two systems, Rick!

How much trouble would it be to write a simply program that issues the STSI instruction for those two STSI control blocks (1.1.1 and 1.2.2) and then prints (hex dumps) both of them and then run it on each system.

The results might prove to be quite interesting!
