My thoughts. (I haven't had access to any z/OS systems for over 5 years, so some things may be a bit out) In a nutshell, z/OS needs to resolve ADCD.dickspencer.com to an entry in the HOME list. Indeed, this is one of the functions of hometest . You probably need z/OS to resolve ADCD.dickspencer.com to 192.168.1.170 The messages from hometest show that this is not happening as the lookup is being passed all the way through the Hercules host via to probably the google name server (8.8.8.8) I can resolve ADCD.dickspencer.com to 47.151.23.86; in fact anything.dickspencer.com and dickspencer.com itself resolve to 47.151.22.86. Start looking at your z/OS resolver configuration. The book you need to start with is the z/OS V1R10.0 Communications Server IP Configuration Guide. You should be able to find it here https://www-05.ibm.com/e-business/linkweb/publications/servlet/pbi.wss?CTY=US&FNC=SRX&PBL=SC31-8775-13 It will point to other manuals e.g. IP Configuration Reference, IP User's Guide and Commands, which your preferred search engine should be able to find. I think this has nothing to do with you trialling TunTap64 John --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com
