John, 

 I've tried pointing my HOME address to the 47.151.23.86 external IP address and when I do I have no access to my z/OS system using any TCPIP services at all.  External or internal.  It only works when I make the HOME address the address of the z/OS guest.
 

 I believe that my DB2 version 9 issue is also having a problem with the external IP address and domain name.  I get the following error when DB2 initializes:
 

 DSNL512I  -DB2P DSNLILNR TCP/IP
 GETNAMEINFO(::47.151.23.86) FAILED WITH           
            RETURN CODE=1 AND REASON CODE=78AB1004 

 

 I'll do some experimenting with the domain name of the z/OS guest later today and see how that works out.
