Here's a real idea for ya ... Why dont you see if you can write a driver for a 3151? http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/ibm/3151/GA18-2634-0_IBM_3151_ASCII_Display_Station_Reference_Manual_Apr1987.pdf It is an ASCII display station that works over an ASYNC line.... It should be pretty simple to do. Use MAX's 3705, and write a 3145 emulator. Then you can attach the 3145 to VTAM via the 3705, and the 3151 will attach to the 3145 via a TCP connection. (BTW, a 3151 emulates a VT100 in its screen controls).
