Brian, Many thanks for your support.. I am afraid this is getting a bit frustrating for me, I think I should start reading a networking Redbook instead of randomly or intuitively trying to fix it, even networking is not my primary concern, but CICS MQ/IMS. Anyway, the issue is like this. I am able to ping Hercules from windows and vice versa. That is it. Packet forwarding has been enabled.
