We had occasions where a C.E. had to fix something during normal 
operating hours, and it was a PITA to get the operators to QUIESCE prior 
to stopping the operation. Most of the time we lost the remote lines and 
users, but not DASD (not counting the time a C.E. swapped some boards in 
the Memorex 1270, finished, and hit Master Reset on his way out!).
