What is/will Rexx support be used for in SDL Hyperion Hercules?

I have seen the ooRexx and Regina Rexx support messages while starting SDL Hyperion Hercules, but I seem to have missed discussions of what that support is/will be used for with Hercules.
 

 If someone could point me to any old messages where where this is disussed or point me to any online documentation of the support and usage details I would appreciate it.
