Not sure is related, I've never managed such disks.

But I've, saved somewhere, not sure they are still readable,
on floppy disks, a bunch of old, aged, IBM Internal Use Only
tools for managing non standard floppy disks on a PC and PS/2
controller.

Maybe it may be useful to have a look to such old tools?
