Many things could be wrong. You didn't tell us what OS you are trying to
run (VM/370, VM/SP, VM/ESA, z/VM, OS/360, OS/VS1, DOS/VS, OS/MFT,
OS/MVT, MVS, DOS/VS, DOS/VSE, z/VSE, MVS/XA, z/OS, TPF, z/TPF, MTS,
MUSIC/SP, z/Linux, A standalone utility such as DDR, ICKDSF, ADDRSU,
ZZSA and probably missing a few) we have no idea what your OS is and
what configuration you have.
We need more information. (PS : the fact you got the initial screen from
a completely outdated version of hercules indicates it's not a network
issue and probably not a hercules problem in itself).
Basically you are telling you inserted a CD of unknown origin into a new
PC and nothing shows on your screen when you try to boot it !
