  I don't know if this can help.

  X3270 terminal emulator has the capability to set the desired terminal
address at activation:

  x3270 -model 3279 -once -title Console -once [email protected]:3270

  That "011@" is the terminal address to connect to.  This can allow to
open the terminals in whatever order and get it connected where desired.

  Does Vista TN3270, and the others have similar capabilities?
