RE: CPU diagnostics

I checked IBMVM archives and found out that someone asked about SIMH emulator and said that he is looking for CP-67 and TSS/360 software.

 

I replied and sent to IBMVM list and said that I am also looking for CP-40, CP-67 and TSS/360 (not TSS/370).  Also I said that I am looking for good OLTEP diagnostics.  I did not receive any reply yet. CP-40 and CP-67 is early VM operating system for S/360 system. 

 

Where did you get OLTEP diagnostics?  I only found two software OLTP basic and OLTP tape images on Paul’s collection. 

 

Yes I am interested in 370 mode for SIMH so that we can run VM/370 r6 on SIMH.

Hi Tim,

 

  I'm the one who has a IBM360 simulator on SimH. It will run OS/360, DOS/360 and TOS/360. However I am having a problem getting TSO to run. I get an address fault when I enter return on a com line. I have check this and it appears the OS/360 is giving an address to the line that is off by one, this causes it to get an invalid address. If anyone has any ideas and is willing to spend some time helping me, drop me an email.

 

 I also could use some help in running OLTEP on DOS and OS/360.

 

If there is interest I can add in support for a IBM370. I currently support the 360/67 and the simulator should be able to run early versions of MTS, but I have not had time to test it.
