Thanks for getting back to me..

The version is 1.15.0.5224

IUm noit sure what you mean by
“does it start withoiut using Hercgui”. I start it using the windows 10 icon, exactly as my friend starts his.

Hercgui produces logs, the location of the logs is set in the preferences - what's in the latest log file?

What version of Hercules are you using, and does it start without using HercGUI?

I’ve just installed hercgui and all seems ok by comparison to a friends pc until I try to power on. It appears to briefly power up then immediately powers off. My friends PC runs and produces 2 or 3 screens worth of messages whereas mine only lists the sane first 2 or 3 lines then stops. Both machines are running windows 10 64 bit. The only difference I can see is my friend runs windows 10 home and mine is professional.
