Mount the ISO and IPL the .ins file. One of the trick is setting up networking so that you can access the installation packages to be installed on your DASDs Other things to be aware of are that - Sometimes the builders forget to properly regenerate the .ins file, in which case you'll have to hand rig a OMA tape which contains the kernel, the parmfile and the installation initrd - I had issues with Debian 10 installation initrd failing to detect networking at IPL.. So just used a Debian 9 install, installed everything then updated my APT source and did a apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade HTH, --Ivan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
