Whoa, this gives me an idea... Peppe, why don't you try running the compiler
on MVS as V=R.

I did with the attached job. On MVT, the compile fails with BUF=27K but
works with BUF=28K. I set SIZE=BUF+78K as explained in the doc, and
REGION=SIZE+6K. The same job, as is, fails on MVS.
