 I am trying all sorts of combinations to get things to work.  The first variant is the type of connection: CTCI, LCS or OSA.  CTCI is the most robust, meaning that my FTP experiments don't bring down the connection.  LCS and OSA are much flakier, and it's very easy to kill Hercules networking using either of them.
 The second variant is whether I use a Wi-Fi card or cable to connect to the local router.  The Wi-Fi card is more stable, but I can't ping from the guest to the outside world using it.  Using the LAN cable allows me to ping the outside world from the guest (unless I’m using CTCI), but it is easy to kill the network (and even Hercules) if I try too many FTPs.

 There is no issue pinging public addresses from my guest if I use LCS or OSA. I specify 192.168.1.1 (my router) in the TCPIP PROFILE on the guest and it works.  However, this setup does NOT work if I'm using CTCI. This is my home network.

 Not sure what you mean by environment outside Hercules. I’m running Windows 10 which is connected to a router via cable or Wi-Fi. I need to connect to Jazz Software because I am testing their software.

 I’ve been using Hercules for 20 years, but have never pushed the networking capability until now. So, no, it’s never really worked, but I have gone through many PCs and installations over that time, and possibly not tested it to this extent.
