Paul. > Paul, Quickly checking the manual for the High Level Assembler https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSQ2R2_8.5.1/com.ibm.ent.asm.zos.doc/asmp1020.pdf I can see that in fact there are two ways to set the available OP Codes... The MACHINE JCL parameter and the OPTABLE assembler directive both allow me to only load the instructions I need. So if I specify MACHINE(S370) On the JCL or OPTABLE S370 In the code them only S370 OP Codes (including the vector codes) are available...
