I think the internal ehternet adapter could be bad.  Can you remove it, and lets concentrate on getting the wifi (which seems to work for FTP) to work for everything else (ping, email, etc.).
 

 You can always buy another internal adpater, they sell them on Amazon for a few dollars.  I would imagine that the issue is probably with your DNS server settings on the wifi adapater which may not be affecting your ability to get to the internet, but is stopping z/OS from seeing anything via that path.
 

 It will be interesting to see what your adapter settings are for wifi.
