Which bit of that is relevant? As far as I am
aware, the S/390 target produces code that
will only build on z/Linux.

You pointed to Dave Pitts's port, but that uses
the i370 port, and indeed targets USS. That
doesn't mean it assembles the output of the
s390 target.
