Sorry for the question, but the only thing I can come up with is set up a system from scratch and do cms copies. The system I'm running is VM/ESA 230 I don't even know if it supports 3390's. It might not, but what about 3350's of 3380's? > > Any help appreciated. > 3390's and 3380's are surely supported; 3350's are not officially supported but I could use them (as well as 3330's) defining them in HCPRIO and rebuilding the CP nucleus. Certainly I wouldn't try to use 3350's or 3330's for system resident volumes;-). Transferring VM/ESA from 3370's to 3390's can be done but it's a long process and requires building a new directory with all minidisks definitions for 3390, copying original minidisks to new minidisks (you can use CMS COPY provided they are both defined in a new MAINTX virtual machine) and so on. Personally I like more FBA devices as I can access them easily with an HEX editor (with EBCDIC interpretation) and do many funny things ;-) Regards. Paul
