I just tested  - it no longer jumps from 15 to 24
 
I have to make it dispaly one less line but there is no bug
Not sure until I see the HEX exactly what is happening.
Why do you think its not fixed????
 
As for the brackets ---
It could be an emulator issue or my issue
 
That is probably an emulator thing ----
Can you get square backets anywhere using your emulator..
Square brackets are usually Ebcidec BA and BB
but not all emulators handle that  
some will show it coorrectly on the screen before you hit enter --- but that
is ASCII
then when they send the buffer to the mainframe they translate it to EBCIDEC
--- But what table?
Then when they get the EBCIDEC that they sent back from the mainframe they
translate it back to ASCII.
 
So really shoud see what they are sending to the MF in EBCIDEC and that very
often depends on code page stc.

Is the 24 line fix "live" (doesn't seem so . )

Funny that you asked about the square brackets ... they're not working
(getting periods instead)

All other "special " characters are working, as is the j-k-l
