Guest OS (MVS) under VM - was Re: creating DASD

I (sorta) have MVS IPL'd under VM !!

I just copied the MVSRES dasd, and attached that, without setting up
the other dasd's, but it DID ipl to the point of writing to a DIALED
3270 "Enter parameters ... etc".

I'll setup the rest of the dasd's and see if it comes up and runs ;)

I *thought* the main reason for a dialed device, is if the system
console is a 3270 ?

If it's a 3215 (like the "starter system(s)), is that where a dialed
device is not neccessary? ... and things can be automated ?
