Well, I don't know "pdpclib".. But as far as any "standard" C library is 
concerned, you should just stay clear of any C function that is not 
defined as "thread safe". One example of a "non thread safe" function 
would be strtok(). (But there is a strtok_r() function that IS thread safe).
