I use Hummingbird HostExplorer for my emualtor.

When I connect to VM/370 it always connects to the first terminal
defined in Hercules. Then the second connect goes to the second
terminal.

So, I define my first terminal as a mod 2 and all the rest as mod 4.

I connect to the first terminal as mod 2 for the DOSVS console.

Then all the rest of my connections are to mode 4.

Of course I conf my terminal emulator to match the model terminal I
am connecting to.
