The "BETA" is now a beta.

I have it installed on the public server.

The EDIT application is now a full beta.
summary of commands. Screens have changed slightly.

Command Line:
TOP
BOT
/search  will find imbeded blanks but not trailing blanks 
         from current position to end
Find xxx  Find rocky will find rocky but not roc
          from start of file to end
CMS  and a CP or CMS command  (External control currently only link
     will execute the command  acc rel and q are allowed)
CH /xxx/xxx/    from top of file  adn up to trunc
TRUNC  works with change (Defaults in there but you can change Them)           
FILE or SAVE will save the file
NULLS ON OFF
CAPS  ON OFF
FN  changes the file name
FM  changes the File mode 
FT  Changes the File TYPE
UP nn    moves the screen up nn lines
Down nn  moves the screen down nn lines
RESET resets the cc c f mm m move attributes

HEX will display the record in HEX FORMAT
You can edit and change the data in HEX display
Enter without any command or action will display the logical cursor position - (Cursor remains in same POS)

successive Enter in same pos will bring cursor to command line.

For the last week I have been writing the Editor in the EDITOR.

Want some feedback -

As soon as I get feedback one way or the other I will put it on the website and you can download.

Two versions - the application for those that just want to use it
The application and sources and listings etc. for developers by request.

No problems about the sources but I'd like to know who is really interested in the logic and the mehodology as opposed to who needs to use it only.

Some of this stuff is complicated and will need explanations.     

I'll get a simple manual out to go with this. This was just from memory -there might be more:-)

Meanwhile I need feed back. Please try it out-

Next project is a full screen debugger for VM/370 - Just thinking about that now - any ideas are welcome.

You can use this as a single user interface - it disconnects automatically when you start and you do the editing etc. via dial
When you log on again (reconnect) the application automatically
Ends and yo are back in your machine.

Or as a multi user interface.
