Hello!
It's strange. The problem still exists exactly as described from two
weeks ago on the Linux side of things, but with a later SVN. As it
happens that the problem does not exist on the Cygwin side of things.

This means for now, and for the forseable future, I'm going to stick
with the released version. I appreciate the help (and witty remarks)
from everyone here.

Kerravon86, all I was trying to do is ascertain where the problems I
saw happen two weeks ago crept in, and then resurfaced today with the
SVN code.

Now if any of the members are in the area closest to Queens NY then,
then of course we might see each other at that event.
