Well of course there must be something to handle the DIAGS. How did it
manage SPOOL?

OK, I thought it was all handled on the PC...

So this is quite like the way later things worked with the PC/370 and and
PC/390 cards?

Yes I have seen that from traces other folks with dead PC/370s have sent me.
