How about a configuration option: SPOOL c:\VM\SPOOL or SPOOL userid c:\VM\SPOOL File names would be something like: userid.rdr.a.nnnn "userid" would be being any userid or lparname or cnslport or something. "rdr" would be rdr, prt, pun. "a" would be the class "nnnn" would be the spool file number Other qualifiers could be added like line count if wanted. How would we tell binary ( ipl ddr ) from text? Use class? Would text be converted to ascii?
