>MVS was apparently called OSVS2 by some heathens: Actually, OS/VS2 was the first release of OS that supported multiple virtual storage spaces. Prior to that was SVS, or Single Virtual Storage (OS/VS1). Everything that is known today as z/os, mvs, etc. has its roots in OS/VS2. Ok, it will be interesting to see what SVCs are used in the above. Or even what filename. > The other batch program (ROCZAP) if I can find it – > will read a file, do a > ver and a rep at a specific record and offset and > then either rewrite the file as is or copy it. There's no need to look for that for me, if that's what you're doing. I already have what I need for that. What I don't have is an editor. > Never worked n such an old system and I am looking > for documentation right > now – Something comparable to authorized assembler > services for that version. > Any body have any suggestions where to find > references for 3.8 system stuff etc..
