Eh?!

I didn't see any plea for help with CTCI/LCS:

Maybe it was Yahoo screwing up again and your message never got through to
the list? They've been doing that a lot lately.

In any case I apologize sincerely for missing your plea for help! I
certainly do not want THAT to happen, *ever*!

I'm happy to hear that and apologize again for missing your plea for help,
but in all honesty I never saw it! If I had I would in all likelihood have
tried to help you. You know I would!

The only time I don't help people who ask for help are when they send their
email to me directly (instead of to the group), and then ONLY when I'm so
busy that I don't have the time to immediately help them (which of course
has unfortunately been pretty much the rule rather than the exception for
quite some time now, but be that as it may).

Yep. I'll probably be removing that particular warning/guideline from the
FAQ on this next release (or at least be giving it less prominence) since it
hasn't held true for quite a while now. The WinPCap team seems to have
gotten their act together starting a couple years ago and the releases ever
since have been quite stable/reliable, interoperating with CTCI-WIN without
problem.

I have this nagging fear though that as soon as I do they'll make a change
that breaks CTCI-WIN functionality causing me to regret my decision. :)

But that's just my paranoid side struggling to break through. :)
