SSL error

I'm getting a new error. I have tried removing +ssl_verify_server and still get it. Does anyone know what this means? 10236:error:14094416:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert certificate unknown:s3_pkt.c:1053:SSL alert number 46 We require client certificates, so I'm not sure if this message relates to the server or client certificate.
