It might be better to download the patch from: http://www.chowhouse.com/~james/x5250/pastepatch.patch Note that this fixes the crash but a problem remains. x5250 retrieves the data to be pasted using XGetWindowProperty(). For some reason XGetWindowProperty() returns an empty list from gvim, yet still returns successfully. That means that x5250 no longer crashes, but it also doesn't paste any text from gvim using the Edit->Copy method. The normal unix way of left button highlight and middle button paste still works. Sean, what happens when you do Edit->Copy and then middle button into xterm? When I do that xterm doesn't paste the Edit->Copy buffer, but rather whatever I had previously highlighted with the left mouse button. x5250 is now doing the same thing that xterm does for me with this patch. James Rich if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond when you're done reading them :) - Paul Davis on ardour-dev -- This is the Linux 5250 Development Project (LINUX5250) mailing list To post a message email: LINUX5250-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/linux5250 or email: LINUX5250-request-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/linux5250.
