Using tn5250 still works. Looking at the errors below it looks like something strange is happening with the xt5250 script. Test this by starting an xterm (you need to use xterm, not some other kind of term like rxterm or gterm or konsole) and then running tn5250 <session-name> inside that xterm (where <session-name> is the name of the session you have defined in $HOME/.tn5250rc or simply use the hostname of the AS/400). > Warning: Color name "black" is not defined > Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct > Warning: Cannot convert string "foreground gray90;lines > 1,-1,-1,-1,-1,l:foreground gray60;lines -1,0,0,0,0-1" to type XawDisplayList > Warning: Color name "white" is not defined > Segmentation fault These look like xterm is behaving strangely on your system. Maybe this is an Ubuntu problem - any other Ubuntu users want to check this? James Rich if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond when you're done reading them :) - Paul Davis on ardour-dev -- This is the Linux 5250 Development Project (LINUX5250) mailing list To post a message email: LINUX5250-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/linux5250 or email: LINUX5250-request-Zwy7GipZuJhWk0Htik3J/[email protected] Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/linux5250.
