Re: OpenSolaris?

Uhm effectively it's strange. Anyway I've seen the problem description. In
this very moment
I don't have my AS/400 handy for an effective test, but I tried the command

# xt5250 ssl:127.0.0.1

on an ubuntu 8.10 with the localhost ssl telnet enabled but it doesn't core
dump nor waits indefinitely, it simply says

"Warning: Tried to connect to session manager, None of the authentication
protocols specified are supported"
when running as root, when running as a normal user it says nothing, in both
cases opens and closes
the window immediately. Maybe it is unrelated to your problem, but makes me
think about
something related to ssl handshaking.

IMHO probably on the version I built several years ago SSL support was not
enabled (nor
anyway needed by anyone in 3+ years of package maintenance). Since the
version I built
is the 0.17.3 and is too much time I don't update it (still need to see the
changelist in 0.17.4),
as soon as I'll have time I'll try to make a new version and see if this
solves the problem.
By the way, I'll need your help to setup my 9401-150 V4R3 with ssl enabled
telnet, or
something like that to reproduce your scenario.

Please forgive me again, I still call it Blastwave, but some time ago there
was a fork on the
OpenCSW project where I maintain this package for all versions of Solaris
(from 8 to OpenSolaris),
since Blastwave is only for Sol10+.

The link is http://opencsw.org/bugtrack/ and from there I can maintain
status and whatever tracking
stuff. Sorry again.
