Does anyone here know what a "bypass code" is? Or how to implement it
on lp5250d for windows?
Background:
We have a few fujitsu printers that are printing some large fonts on
cards, and when I print it to a text file using lp5250d, it looks like
this:

We have a couple of old Decision Data terminals that, when you set them
up with "bypass code" &%, they convert the stuff between the &% from
"ascii hex" to real ascii. In other words, the six characters 1B4316
output three characters "escape" "C" and "SYN" to tell the printer the
page length is 16 lines. These three characters are equivilent to 0x1B,
0x43, and 0x16.
We can't seem to duplicate that with 3477 terminals, nor have I yet done
it with lp5250d.
Is there a simple way to do this? Or does someone have a sed script I
could use? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
John Chambers
